He first approached the world of martial arts in 1982, practicing competitive Karate Shotokan for about 9 years, until he reached the rank of black belt III Dan, and the federal diploma of coach obtained by participating for 3 months in the federal course held at Centro Sportivo di Pisa and then passing the exam at the Federal Sports Center of Acqua Acetosa (Carabinieri Competitive Karate Center) in Rome. Always from this period is the achievement at the Karate Sports Center of Tirrenia of the specialization diploma at the start of the sport for children. In 1992 he approached Ju-Jitsu, while continuing to practice Karate, and met Maestro Stefano Mancini, of whom he immediately became a pupil, thus beginning a journey that continues today.

 

Dates and significant moments in the journey of Guido Nicoli in Ju-Jitsu can be summarized as follows:

* 1992/1993 - He obtained the I and II Italian Management level instructor degrees. Also in the same period, the Kobudo Club-dojo gym opens in Carrara (MS) and begins the teaching of Ju-Jitsu (Robert Clark Method) in the district of Massa-Carrara.

* 1994 - Achievement of the Black Dan Belt in Norcia; the examining commission was headed by Soke Robert Clark.

* 1994 - Obtaining the II Level International Instructor diploma issued by Soke Robert Clark on the occasion of Borno's internship.

* 1996 - Achievement of Black Dan II Belt; the examining commission was headed by Soke Robert Clark.

* 1999 - Achievement of Black Dan III Belt; the examining commission was headed by Soke Robert Clark.

* 2002 - Achievement of Black Dan IV Belt; the examining commission was headed by Soke Robert Clark.

* 2006 - Achievement of Black Belt Dan V; the examining commission was headed by Soke Robert Clark.

* 2007/2008 - He continues his technical growth as a direct student of Maestro Mancini and as Technical Director for Massa-Carrara of the Mancini Team. He participates in national and international internships in Italy and abroad organized by the World Ju-Jitsu Federation, always with Maestro Mancini. In this context, he has the opportunity to broaden his technical background and to compare and get in touch with important realities of Ju-Jitsu from different European countries and also to make contact (also of personal friendship) with many international masters. He continues his commitment as an instructor taking courses in the district of Massa-Carrara-Viareggio assisted by his group of instructors.

* 2009 - Detached from the Mancini Team for reasons related to the management of the organization itself, he joined the W.J.J.F. PMA continuing its path of technical growth and dissemination of the Ju-Jitsu of the World Ju-Jitsu Federation, with a Dojo structure that covers the district of Massa, Carrara and Viareggio, with about 150 students. The Maestro Guido Nicoli still follows and has always followed refresher courses, in England, under the technical direction of the Soke Robert Clark with constant frequency and diligent commitment, allowing him to guarantee his Dojo a high level technical teaching. He was appointed National Technical Director of the E.N.D.A.S. for the Martial Arts Sports Sector.

* 2011- Undertook the study of Escrima Kali, a fighting method of Filipino origin, following the courses of Maestro Manuelito Herrera in Carrara and Empoli.

* 2012 - Maestro Guido Nicoli Receives the VI Dan in England before the International Commission of W.J.J.F. directed by Brian Truby and receiving recognition of the rank of Shihan, would literally mean Chief Instructor. It is the title generically used in the ranks that include the V Dan. It also adds to its curriculum a new and important recognition by the W.J.J.F .: the diploma of qualification for teaching and dissemination of Ju-Jitsu at European level. Diploma recognized and valid in all European countries: Qualification of Unit Credit Towards NVQ in Sport National. He obtained the Sangko black belt diploma recognized by Coni.

* 2013 - He continues his study, teaching and dissemination of the Robert Clark Ju-Jitsu method with W.J.J.F. PMA at national and international level. He also participates in a seminar for the teaching of Krav Maga in Tel Aviv organized by the Wingate Institute for Physical Education and sports from 27/10 to 2/11.

* 2014 - It follows, during the International Stage of the W.J.J.F. ITALY, the recognition of the rank of VI Dan Renshi (the degree of technical excellence).* 2015 - It follows, during the International Congress of the WJJF / WJJKO, the recognition of the degree of VI Dan Hanshi (it is a title applied to those of grade VI-VII Dan or higher translated with the title of Master of the Masters).

* 2017 - Following the WJJF / WJJKO's Technical Assembly in Liverpool, the awarding of the VII Dan Kyoshi award.

 

Throughout his career the Maestro Nicoli has always participated in the internships (Technical Seminars) set up by the World Ju-Jitsu Federation, held at the WJJF Headquarters, organized and assisted by the Soke Robert Clark. In this way the Maestro Nicoli was able to verify and increase the technical level and the knowledge of all the educational programs for Adults and Junior (including Kobudo and Gold Tab programs from the 1st to the 10th Level) coded by the Soke Robert Clark.
